This photo shows a 1973 Volvo 1800ES. The carʻs electronic fuel ignition and spark are controlled by a Stealth Systems management module. The ECU is a MegaSquirt II system that is housed inside the original Bosch ECUʻs container. The crank position sensing is built into an original distributor body. Thus the system is invisible; the engine compartment appears to be stock. But the system can be monitored inside the car on a laptop, as displayed in the video. The application is TunerStudio; it allows the user not only to watch the car as in the video, but also to do tuning runs, in which the application analyzes the engineʻs behavior as you drive, and then make suggestions for modifying the maps to improve performance and efficiency. The user can try the suggested new map and either keep it or revert back to the last map.
